a partridge on a peartree jumped
some fruits came tumbling down
they fell upon the hedgehog king
and smashed right flat his crown
the partridge cried : „I’m sorry, man
pray tell, are you okay?“
it reared back in surprise
to hear the king shout loud „hooray“!
„you made my day, dear partridge
I did not want this crown
now it’s beyond repairing
thank God the pears fell down“
short silence
and should you now consider
a rather happy end
I guess you have forgotten
the hungry fox, my friend
whilst hedgehog and partridge
still spoke on the ground
the fox crept upon them
not making a sound
the bird was quite tasty
the fox belched out loud
but hedgehogs are prickly
the fox hurt his snout
you live and you learn
lose a crown to some fruit
before you can party,
your life follows suit
